Seams where you want them

Seams go round the back, hard edges become seams, and copies of a part get the same layout.

Edit islands on the mesh

Islands show in colour on the model. Merge, split, lock or paint new ones with a brush.

Check before you texture

Check UVs colours faces by stretch, texel density or overlaps. Analyse tells you what to fix.

Ready for game engines

Stack copies to save texture space, and write a lightmap UV for Unity, Unreal and Godot.

Three steps.

Select your meshes

One object or a whole set, in Object or Edit mode.

Press Auto UV

Pick Fewer seams, Balanced or Less stretch. Turn on Symmetry for mirrored meshes.

Edit and check

Fix islands with the NexUV Islands tool, then Check UVs. Esc stops a job, Ctrl+Z undoes it.

Yours to keep.

FAQ

Will Auto UV overwrite my seams?

It asks first. To follow your own seams, press Unwrap instead.

Does it support UDIMs?

Yes. Select a tile's islands, then Move here or New tile.

Are my models uploaded?

No. NexUV only contacts NexStudio to sign in and check your licence.
